NEWTON FAULKNER Rebuilt By Humans (Sony) w THE clever choice of title reawakens memories of dreadlocked guitar virtuoso Faulkner's impressive 2007 debut, Hand Built By Robots, and this new long-player certainly sticks resolutely to the catchy, chilled-out sonic template laid down in his earlier work.
The album has a harder, synth-based sound and represents a shift in policy from the piano-led power ballads of debut long-player Hopes & Fears.
He recently released his debut long-player, saying: "I sing backing vocals with Maximo Park, but to actually go ahead and do this, I had to learn how to use my voice to express the song idea.
