In October, they relocated to New York City's developing Lower East Side and opened their own boutique, which they named Valley. While not a celebrity, Taylor influenced generations of Americans with her semiautographical depictions of a Jewish family living on the Lower East Side and later the Bronx during the 1910s and early 1920s. |
