The wrongful death lawsuit, filed Monday by the personal injury law firm of Mainor Eglet Cottle, alleged that the crane was “defective” and “that the horn/warning system failed to perform as expected and was more dangerous than reasonably expected by an ordinary consumer.
Cameron Sheffield and Brandon Lang are the starters, but the two and Mainor had been rotating snaps.
Mainor speculated that, with some of the allegations, what might have been dismissed as typical taunts among rivals took on a different tone because the team members were, for the most part, two different races.
