This time there are a retouched Watteau, three minor works by Boucher, a faded sketch by Natoire, and a replica, quite possibly carved by his own hand, of Falconet's Dangerous Cupid, commissioned by Mme la marquise de Pompadour and now in the Louvre.
The marquise de Pompadour is denigrated as a self-publicist mostly concerned with a craven Blairite manipulation of public approval.
