The program kicks off with Franz von Supp's "Light Cavalry Overture" and includes works by Antonin Dvor[sz]k, Pietro Mascagni, Franz Leh[sz]r, Georges Bizet, Leroy Anderson and others.
This year's programme will include Verdi - Grand March from Aida; Copland - Fanfare for the Common Man; Holst - Mars from The Planets; Sousa - Semper Fidelis March; Pachelbel - Canon; Di Capua - O Sole Mio; Verdi - Brindisi; Dukas - The Sorcerer's Apprentice; Suppe - Light Cavalry Overture; Mascagni - Intermezzo & Easter Hymn from Cavalleria Rusticana; Tchaikovsky - Waltz of the Flowers from The Nutcracker.
BIocks of Italian arias from the operas of Verdi (Ritorna vincitor--Aida, Tu che vanita--Elizabeth in Don Carlos, La vergine degli angeli--Leonora in the Force of Destiny, Ecco leorrido campo Amelie), Puccini (Vissi dcarte, vissi deamore --Tosca, In questa reggia--Turandot), Cieli (Poveri fiori--Adriana) and Mascagni (Voi Io sapete--Santuzza) are augmented by two tracks from Czech operas--Kostelnicka's Co chvila from Jenufa and Libuse's prophecy from the 3rd act of the Smetana opera.
