A city of east-central Argentina on the Atlantic Ocean south-southeast of Buenos Aires. It is a popular resort with a fishing industry. Population: 541,000.

A particular study in MDQ Area (38[degrees]S) shows that the sites where spat was collected presented lower density of potential predators and had been scarcely fished in comparison with the other sites within the area.
