For his efforts, he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the Congressional Gold Medal along with numerous awards from many countries.
The book, titled 'Speechless: Tales of a White House Survivor'-written by Matt Latimer, an ex-speechwriter for Bush-has revealed that the Scots-based Harry Potter author was nominated for a Presidential Medal of Freedom.
He was posthumously awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1977 and Congressional Gold Medal in 2004; Martin Luther King, Jr.
