A town of southeast Mexico southeast of Veracruz. It has a petroleum refinery. Population: 110,000.

Mexico restarting FCC MEXICO CITY: The fluid catalytic cracker (FCC) at Mexico's Minatitlan refinery was being restarted after state oil company Pemex completed planned maintenance, Pemex said in a statement.
The spill, near the municipality of Jesus Carranza, eventually extended for about 200 km, endangering the coastal cities of Coatzacoalcos and Minatitlan and the towns of Jaltipan, Texistepec, and Jesus Carranza.
