(Bot.) a low perennial plant (Oxyria digyna with rounded kidney-form leaves, and small greenish flowers, found in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, and in high northern latitudes.

Indeed the mountain is the most southerly location for several Arctic Alpine plants, such as mountain sorrel, moss campion and the stiff sedge.
Other rare plants include the purple saxifrage, mountain sorrel and alpine meadow.
