The anti-aircraft cruiser HMS *Coventry participated in naval battles at Narvik.
It has already attracted interest from a science park which houses around 30 businesses in the Arctic Circle called NARVIK and next week NCC chiefs will meet with representatives of another similar park in Oslo.
At the heart of the crisis is the decision by Narvik to invest £24m of its public funds into securities put together by US bank Citigroup hit last summer, the town lost around £18m, coming on top of other debts Narvik ran up.
