TWO drug users are seriously ill after being hit by the flesh-eating disease necrotising fasciitis.
The High Court heard yesterday that Mrs Davern, of Ballyhea, Charleville, Co Cork, almost died from a flesh-eating disease, necrotising fasciitis, after surgery.
It's rare to see complications such as toxic shock syndrome, necrotising fasciitis or septicaemia setting in these days.
