Neurotin has sometimes been successful and Vioxx has also been prescribed for pain relief.
The worst known case: a marginal epilepsy drug called Neurotin that Parke-Davis (and, later, Warner-Lambert) pushed for pain and other unapproved uses, turning it into a blockbuster.
Among drugs reportedly found in the room after he left were Vicodin, anti-anxiety Compazine, anti-seizure Neurotin, anti-inflammatory Vioxx, anti-nausea Zofran and Melatonin, a sleeping aid.
