MRAM combines the best features of today's common memory technologies: the storage capacity and low-cost of Dynamic RAM (DRAM), the high speed of Static RAM (SRAM), and the non-volatility of flash memory.
Non-volatility is a characteristic of solid state Flash RAM but one that generally comes with a price premium attached.
Take-up of FRAM chip is expected to increase because the technology combines the access speed of dynamic RAM and synchronous RAM, with the non-volatility of ROM.
