(Placename) a council area of W central Scotland, on the Firth of Clyde: comprises the N part of the historical county of Ayrshire, including the Isle of Arran; formerly part of Strathclyde Region (1975-96): chiefly agricultural, with fishing and tourism. Administrative centre: Irvine. Pop.: 135 817 (2001). Area: 884 sq. km (341 sq. miles)

I CANNOT believe North Ayrshire Council leader David O'Neill actually believes the rubbish he is spouting about the council bending over backwards to try to accommodate the Homecoming Festival in Irvine.
A week later, we obtained a warrant to search his home in Seamill, along with North Ayrshire Trading Standards officers.
