Braintree then improved on GoLYTELY with the approval of NuLYTELY (PEG-3350, sodium chloride, sodium bicarbonate and potassium chloride for oral solution) which is a modified formulation of GoLYTELY that provides improved taste and has 52% less sodium than GoLYTELY.
Patients scheduled for colonoscopy received either NuLYTELY 4-L PEG solution (n=432) or VISICOL Tablets (n=427) for bowel preparation.
We believe the data in our NDA demonstrate that Diacol tablets cleanse the colon as effectively as Cherry Flavor NuLYTELY(R), the leading liquid prescribed purgative product, and that Diacol demonstrated superior tolerability and strong patient preference compared to NuLYTELY.
