This new exploit relies on Mach-O, short for Mach object file format, which is used in Mac OS X for native executables.
New features include multi-loader support for common object file format (COFF), executable and linking format (ELF), and IntelHEX, as well as user-defined formats, plus instruction history recording to support application debugging.
The Early Access tools support the Mach-O object file format, providing developers with access to the full set of native Mac OS X APIs, and will allow developers to create Java 2 applications on Mac OS X for the first time.
