ECTO-NOX proteins are a family of functionally related proteins capable of oxidising reduced quinines [4] and are involved in plasma membrane oxidation-reduction reactions [5].
Updated and expanded to cover the literature as of the end of 2005, it covers basic kinetic and mechanistic terminology and methodology, ligand substitution reactions, stereochemical change, reaction mechanism of organometallic systems, oxidation-reduction reactions, inorganic photochemistry, bioinorganic systems, and experimental methods.
First suggested by Charlotte Jirousek, associate professor of textiles and apparel, the activity involves the dyeing of a piece of cotton with indigo to observe the visual color change of the oxidation-reduction reaction.
