A better conclusion would be that the PSFS is inadequate as a classification tool (perhaps because it has been designed and validated as an outcome measure?
We would argue that the patient-specific nature of the PSFS may make it ideally suited to comparing across a wide variety of musculoskeletal disorders that traditionally are assessed with a wide variety of outcome measures.
INTENDED POPULATION The PSFS was originally created for use with patients with low back pain (1) and since then has been applied and studied in patients with various musculoskeletal complaints including knee pain, (3) cervical pain, (4) and cervical radiculopathy.
