The major tree species found in Madhav National Park are Palash, Tendu, Dhawda, Kerdhai, Salai, Khair and much more.
As per the ritual, when people of the Pandurana village try cutting a Palash tree and sneak it away, people from the Sawargaon would pelt stones on them.
In summer the palash trees are in bloom, so in the sunlight the forest looks like its on fire.
