On 2 5 May, King Sihanouk reported he would preside from 2 7 to 3 0 May over an inter-Cambodian round table, to be attended by: Chea Sim, President of the National Assembly; Norodom Ranariddh, First Prime Minister of the Royal Government; Hun Sen, Second Prime Minister; and Khieu Samphan, head of the Party of Democratic Kampuchea.
The First Prime Minister, Prince Norodom Ranariddh, had met twice with Khieu Samphan, the head of the Party of Democratic Kampuchea (PDK), to discuss the issue of integrating NADK into the mainstream political establishment, the Secretary-General added.
The fourth signatory party - the Party of Democratic Kampuchea (PDK) - failed to register as a political party, took no part in the election and threatened to disrupt it with violence, according to the report.
