Roger received many awards during his career, including the International Award from the Society of Plastics Engineers, the Mettler Medal from the North American Thermal Analysis Society, the Bingham Medal from the Society of Rheology, and the Paul Flory Award in Polymer Education from the American Chemical Society.
Prior inductees include George Eastman, film pioneer and founder of the Eastman Kodak Company; Leo Baekeland, inventor of the first commercial thermoset resin; and Paul Flory, 1974 winner of the Nobel Prize for Chemistry.
The Paul Flory Colloquium on Nanocomposites will be held, along with a colloquium on "Dynamics of polymer chains.
