1. The southernmost tribe of the Blackfoot confederacy, inhabiting northwest Montana and southern Alberta.
2. A member of this tribe.

Peigan Friends Along the River were one of two finalists in the Community Group category for the 2009 Emerald Foundation Awards.
Grandmaison received many honors during his lifetime and was inducted into the Peigan Tribe and received the Blackfoot name of Eenuk-Sahpo'p (Little Plume).
But, unknown to them, several much larger bands of Peigan and Blood were camped nearby, and before the Cree and Assiniboine could completely destroy the smaller camp, they were in turn attacked.
