There were no 15-minute extra-time periods as both teams were forced to play penalty shoot-outs straight after regular time.
Two countries at Euro 2008 have never lost a penalty shoot-out - Portugal (both against England) and the Czech Republic.
In the penalty shoot-outs I have been in they have only gone to five or six penalties so it's a step in the right direction.
