General Ray Odierno said Iraqi security forces in recent weeks have seized several "very large" caches of Iranian-made rockets and munitions known as explosively formed penetrators, or EFPs, capable of piercing U.
He expressed particular concern that Tehran might step up its shipments of explosively formed penetrators, powerful roadside bombs capable of punching through even the strongest armour.
The Brigades is a group supported by Iran and its members are using missiles and explosively formed penetrators (EFPs) in civilian areas, the statement noted, not giving more details.
