I bought some Picea

Various mechanisms involving rainwater substitution of some kind have been proposed for Abies (Chandler & Owens, 2004), Cedrus (Takaso & Owens, 1995), Picea
(Runions & Owens, 1996), and Pinus (Brown & Bridgewater, 1986; Greenwood, 1986), although in the latter case rainwater capture has been dismissed in a recent study by Leslie (2010).
Whether in a plantation setting or as an individual specimen, Picea
abies looks superb when picked out by the sun in this way.
'Hoopsii' (Colorado spruce) or Picea
'Kosteriana' will both give you stunning all-year-round foliage.
There is no need to stick to green-leafed varieties, either--consider gold-tipped "Pfitzer" junipers, for example, or the smoky blue color of Picea
pungens (Colorado blue spruce).
A polysaccharide from Picea
abies (spruce) may selectively enhance the growth of beneficial gut bacteria.
These species meet only in narrow zone in Finnish and Russian Arctic where putative hybrid, Picea

Specimen trees, for example, picea
breweriana with its delicate foliage draped over pendula branches, trees with interesting barks including prunus, serrula, betula jacquemontii and acer sangokaku will brighten any garden.
They demonstrate no big differences in the pollen composition: domination of AP (mainly Pinus and Betula) and the presence of Picea
pollen were recorded in almost all samples.
