The foaling boxes are deep with sweet-smelling straw, and outside in the paddocks are the mares and their foals, wobbling on pipecleaner legs and keeping close to mum.
The event included a cycle skills session, classroom sessions for children to make their own bikes out of pipecleaners, and a 'Bling Your Bike' competition to find the best decorated machine using their favourite cartoon characters.
They look pretty damned good, even with tree trunks rather than pipecleaners.
