To assess vascular function in response to ingestion of NOP-47 among 20 healthy men and women, researchers used ultrasound to measure brachial artery dilation in the arm and plethysmography to assess capillary blood flow in the forearm.
The NPSG included the following measurements: * Chest and abdominal wall movement by respiratory impedance or inductance plethysmography * Heart rate by ECG * Airflow with sidestream end-tidal carbon dioxide levels * Pulse oximetric saturation (SpO2) and waveform bilateral electrooculogram * Eight-channel EEG * Chin and anterior tibial EMG * Body position All measurements were digitized and tracheal sound was monitored with a microphone sensor.
