When the results of the August 30 election were announced in early September, riots shook the country's economic capital Port-Gentil.
The opposition has registered five deaths in Port-Gentil, with a sixth person killed later by security forces.
Aa Port-Gentil was wracked by three days of riots earlier this month after Bongo was declared the winner of the election, which was held to find a successor to his father Omar Bongo, who died in June after 41 years in power.
