Earlier this week, one of the Republican candidates for the June 3 special election to fill a City Council seat in Queens, Tom Ognibene, accused the Board of Elections of giving the other Republican candidate, Anthony Como, preferential ballot placement.
The Australian model Having rejected the status quo and MMP, Simpson arrives at an alternative loosely modeled on Australia--namely, a preferential ballot (3) for a single-member-district House of Commons and PR for an elected Senate.
Perhaps, the Australian preferential ballot system might work in Canada.
