Abstract The antioxidant activity of wild Pueraria mirifica collected from 28 of the 76 provinces of Thailand and Pueraria lobata collected from China were assessed by 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) assay.
Kudzu (Radix puerariae, root of pueraria lobata) or the flower (Flos puerariae) of Pueraria lobata, and the derived daidzin 12 is an anti-dipsotropic supplement for use in the treatment of alcohol dependency and alcoholism.
Another randomized, controlled trial compared Pueraria lobata, a Chinese herb traditionally used for menopausal symptoms, with hormone therapy in a 3-month study of 127 women in early middle age (Menopause 10[4]:352-61, 2003).
