Starting off with the photo exhibition, the festival went on to host the likes of famous Dhrupad exponent Pandit Uday Bhavalkar, bhakti singers Bhavnesh Komakali and Prahlad Singh Tipania, famous qawwal Mohammed Ahmed Khan Warsi and gifted shehnai players Sanjiv and Ashwini Shankar.
In this regard, he referred to the success of a renowned Qawwal Group which visited Iran on the occasion of Pakistan cultural week celebrations and gave performances in major cities of Iran.
The grounds of the DLI Museum and Durham Arts Gallery play host to an outdoor concert by Bakhshi Javed Salamat Qawwal on Saturday, August 5.
