1. To make more rapid; accelerate.

v.intr.

She has an obvious chance after a debut maiden win and a staying-on second on her handicap debut, but she looked more of a galloper than a quickener last time over the extended 1m at Wolverhampton, and I'm not sure the drop in trip at acceleration-favouring Lingfield will be ideal.
Aidan was spot on about his horses, he said there was very little between my horse and George's, but that mine was more of a quickener and a lengthener while the other is a galloper - and that in an ideal world if I could stalk George through the race he will take me far enough and to get to the front half a furlong out would be ideal.
If you look at the videos of Requisite you can see she is not a quickener who goes well at speed tracks like Goodwood, Brighton, or Lingfield (her last three racing venues).
