Legend has it that the famous Sioux chief Rain-in-the-Face got his name in this manner: His mother had left him strapped to a board propped up on a tree trunk while she whipped up lunch for her husband.
In reality it is usually more like rain-in-the-face motoring and this year seems to be no exception.
