Byline: ANI New Delhi, Nov 5 (ANI): Union Law Minister and accomplished writer, Veerappa Moily, has been declared the winner of the prestigious Moortidevi Award for his book Shri Ramayan Mahaniveshanam, which is considered as the best Ramayana in Kannada after Kuvempu's.
She adds: " While a generation back, stories from the Ramayan and Mahabharata were a part of our upbringing, children today grow up with violent and explicit movies, serials and video games.
The mythological drama Ramayan broadcast during 1987-88 literally brought the entire nation to a standstill on Sundays.
