The Suwannee River, from its mouth all the way to Georgia, is popular with bass and redbelly bream anglers.
French finds the other native snake species in Massachusetts intriguing as well, including the black racer snake, brown snake, common garter snake, Eastern ribbon snake, ringneck snake, redbelly snake, smooth green snake - which he described as particularly beautiful - the milk snake and the Northern water snake.
The species collected in the original surveys but not in the present are: common shiner, hornyhead chub, western blacknose dace, northern redbelly dace, and lake herring.
