A city of west-central Washington, a residential and industrial suburb of Seattle east of Lake Washington. Population: 48,700.

Redmond, John Edward 1856-1918.
Irish nationalist politician who succeeded Charles Parnell as the principal advocate of Irish home rule. His support for Britain during World War I and his opposition to Sinn Fein undermined his influence.
