He was flanked by Kenworthy and Thomas when the referee's assistant inexplicably raised his flag for a bizarre offside decision, much to the annoyance of the travelling fans and manager Ian Banks.
The 31-year-old Bangor University book-binder, who has been a Fifa and Uefa referee's assistant (or linesman) since 2002, is being upgraded following the decision of long-serving official Brian Lawlor, of Holyhead, to retire.
