n. Mathematics Abbr. T
An operation representing a transformation from a given physical system undergoing a given sequence of events to a system in which the exact reverse sequence of events takes place.

time reversal
A mathematical operation on the description of a physical system in which the signs of variables representing time are reversed. Also called time conjugation. See more at invariance.
