A non-aspirin pain reliever should be used by children and young adults because of the risk of a rare but serious disorder called Reye's syndrome.
Byline: Alan QSomeone told us that because our son hasn't had chicken pox he could get Reye's syndrome.
One specific example is that aspirin isn't to be used by children, because it can cause a debilitating syndrome called Reye's syndrome.
