Peter Buck's stolen Rickenbacker guitar has been returned, allowing REM to continue sounding the way they always have.
Despite being a much-honored flying ace in World War I and inspiration to airmen in World War II, Rickenbacker (1890-1973) did not thrive in the competitive postwar automobile and aviation industries.
A 1974 Rickenbacker 330 guitar belonging to former Jam leader Paul Weller is also up for auction.
