The North Sea inlet, which lies to the northeast of Inverness, is home to 130 bottlenose dolphins, as well as being an important area for harbour porpoises, common dolphins, minke whales, Risso's dolphins, orcas, pilot whales, basking sharks and sunfish.
Last year, a badly injured Risso's dolphin died in the Clyde after resisting attempts to return it to the sea.
There are three types of dolphin which can be seen in this part of the world, including the harbour porpoise, the common bottlenose and Risso's dolphin.
