A river of northern India rising in the Himalaya Mountains and flowing about 1,384 km (860 mi) generally southeast to the Ganges River at Allahabad.

Legend has it that Kaliya, the serpent, used to in River Yamuna that flows past Mathura and it used to trouble the local people.
Another very exhilarating place to visit is Bhita, an archeological site on the banks of the river Yamuna, 20 km from the city of Allahabad.
