He was a member of the Royal Academy of Art and we have the work for the diploma from the London Royal College of Art which earned him a prize.
The portrait has been chosen by the Royal Academy of Art as one of 49 pieces of work to be included in its A-level Summer Exhibition Online.
At 14 he became an apprentice to a goldsmith in Copenhagen, before gaining admission to the Royal Academy of Art in Copenhagen and graduating in 1892.
