Byline: Howard Wright AWARDS in the Royal Victorian Order, which are made personally by the Queen, have gone to Cheltenham racecourse chairman Lord Vestey and Ascot's long-serving operations director Ronnie Wilkie, who will be overseeing his last royal meeting next week.
He stepped down in 1990 and was made a Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order.
Ricky 'The Hitman' Hatton also picked up an MBE and explorer David Hempleman-Adams became a Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order for services to the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme.
