A distinctive Alien Ware computer tower was taken from a house in Laureate Close, Rumney, Cardiff, during the day on Friday, after a series of burglaries in which offenders broke in through the patio doors of homes in the Rumney area.
AT long last the Labour Party in Llanrumney are being vociferous regarding the saving of Rumney Recreation Ground from having a new school being built on it ("School plan sparks bid for village green status", September 18 and "This green and pleasant land", Viewpoints, September 21).
On Wednesday, September 9, my 14-year-old son and his team-mates attended a pre-season training session at Rumney RFC, Cardiff, to find that Shaun Connor, a Gwent Dragons regional player, had given up two hours of his own time to take a session with the under-15s, and will do this once a month for the season.
