The massive amounts of data requires massive computer power, so the SETI program recruits volunteers with computers to connect with the SETI project and allow the SETI servers to put those PCs to use. The Seti project uses software running as screensavers on millions of computers to sift through the data from the Arecibo telescope. Jazz artists Mr Gone, The Jon Paul Seti Project and The Cameron Pierre Band will be playing throughout the afternoon in the rhythm tent. |
