He has more in common with Nicolas Leonard Sadi Carnot, the founder of modern thermodynamics and the first to recognize the necessity of entropy, than he does with Gustave Eiffel, who only extrapolated the commonplace in the service of monumentality.
The law follows the property of entropy developed by French physicist Sadi Carnot and German physicist and mathematician Rudolf Clausius.
Back in 1824 Nicolas Leonard Sadi Carnot developed a thermodynamic model called the Carnot Cycle for engines which provides the maximum output that can be expected from any given type of engine.
