The current incumbent, Nasser Sandjak, is an inexperienced coach of French regional side Noisy le Sec, whose only qualification for managing the natio-nal team seems to be that his brother was once an international.
It was alarmed over the deteriorating situations in the regions of Kosovo, Vojvodina and Sandjak, and the practice of torture and other human rights abuses by Croatian paramilitary forces.
Other issues that will dominate thinking in Ankara are the unresolved question of Macedonia's recognition, and precarious "peace" in Kosovo and the Sandjak provinces of Yugoslavia.
