The accident took place overnight in northeastern Kratie province, some 160km northeast of the capital Phnom Penh, Major Leng Sarum of the police said on Sunday.
Speaking at length for the first time since last month's accident on the Newmarket gallops, McEntee revealed it had been at Turner's suggestion that she put Old Sarum through the stalls 24 hours before being due to partner him on the racecourse.
Turner, who in 2008 became the first female jockey to ride 100 winners in a calendar year in Britain, was knocked unconscious when the Phil McEnteetrained Old Sarum suffered a fatal injury in a stalls test.
