A cabinet or table which contains representations of the Three Jewels. These are a statue, the holy books wrapped in cloth, and a stupa. The shrine also contains offering bowls, pictures of gurus, flowers, lights, statues of other buddhas. In Tibetan Buddhism the shrines are very ornate.
